Makalu (8462m) treks is in the eastern part of Nepal which is unsurpassed beauty, towering Himalayan peaks, biological diversity and cultural heritage. Fascinating and challenging trek to the base camp of Makalu situated in the Makalu Barun National Park.

Makalu base camp trek is an utterly marvelous, still untouched and an irregular route of Makalu trekking. Makalu trek starts from Tumlingtar and follows the beautiful Arun River into the Makalu Barun National Park. We cross Shipton La at 4,216m into the remote and beautiful Barun river valley before arriving at Makalu Base Camp. Along the trail there are superb views of the south face of Makalu as well as Everest, Lhotse, Chamlang and Kanchenjunga. The panoramas from Shipton pass and from above Makalu Base Camp are magnificent, especially at sunrise and sunset the scene is even more sublime.

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) (1,300m) Kathmandu /Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Tour: Sightseeing by car/Van with guide to the world heritage sites ( Pashupatinath- Hindu temple, Boudhanath - Buddhist stupa, Swyambhunath - Buddhist Stupa and Patan Durbar Square) / Overnight at  Hotel. BB
Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar then trek to Kahandbari(1030m)/ Overnight at Camping / Local Lodges
Day 04: Trek from Kahandbari to Chichila (1830m) / Overnight at Camping / Local Lodges
Day 05: Trek from Chichila to Num (1500m) / Overnight at Camping / Local Lodges
Day 06: Trek from Num to Sedua (1510m) / Overnight at Camping / Local Lodges
Day 07: Trek from Sedua to Tashigoan (2070m) / Overnight at Camping / Local Lodges
